He recognizes and acknowledges the increasing prevalence of obesity in India and with singular determination he has been promoting and offering treatment of obesity with his surgical skills. He has been associated with various hospitals of high repute including Wockhardt Hospitals, Columbia Asia Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Hospital, BLK Hospital, Moolchand and Apollo Spectra Surgical Centers.
For fulfilling his academic interests he engages himself as Honorary Professor for teaching general surgery and minimal access surgery to undergraduate and postgraduate students at various medical colleges across India. He is a faculty for Bariatric surgery at WebMed central, web-based journals. He has authored many original research papers in reputed national and international journals. He is also an editor and faculty with many web-based journals on obesity surgery.
Dr. Ashish Bhanot is on the Expert Panel of print and television media and he has conducted a number of talks educating the masses on obesity and other health-related issues.
