Dr Mitesh Sharma is a young and dynamic Cardiac Surgeon with over 20 yrs.experience and has successfully operated more than 9000 operations.
He has studied Medicine (MBBS) and General Surgery (MS) from NHL Municipal Medical College& Sheth VS Hospital, Ahmedabad. He gained Superspecialisation in Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery (MCh) from the reputed Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences &Research, Mumbai in 1997.
He joined the world renowned Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center, New Delhi in 1997 as an Attending cardiac surgeon and later as a Consultant Surgeon and gained further expertise in all varieties of cardiac surgery. He specialized in Minimally invasive Cardiac surgery for CABG (bypass), Valve surgery& ASD closure (Heart Port).
He has worked as a pioneering core team member in the Robotic Cardiac Surgery programme at Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi.
Dr Mitesh Sharma worked as a Fellow in the Dept. of Cardiac Surgery, at the University Hospital, Uppsala, Sweden. Dr Mitesh Sharma received specialized Training in Robotic Cardiac Surgery from Dept. of Cardiac Surgery, University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, USA.
Dr Mitesh Sharma trained in Minimally invasive surgery and Robotics at the Intuitive Surgical Training Labs, Utrecht, Netherlands. He has trained under leading Cardiac Surgeons of the world like Dr. Naresh Trehan, Dr. Dev Saksena, Dr. Shrikant Kole, Dr. Hans Erik Hansson, Sweden.
